Chicken necks have long been a popular raw feeding go-to. Their bones tend not to splinter and can provide a natural way of achieving the right balance of calcium and phosphorus in your dog’s raw food diet.
Whilst pet industry guidelines state how much calcium your dog needs and in what ratios, what is commercially sold in powdered form in most dog foods is not always derived from real bone sources and often lacks bioavailability, natural absorption and the naturally occurring calcium-to-phosphorus balance found in whole raw bones.
