The most successful way to transition your dog to to a raw food diet is over a gradual 7 day period. You may find your dog may need anywhere from 3 days to 2 weeks to make the full transition, depending on age and health levels.
Some guidelines to follow:
- Feed proteins only to start
- If your dog refuses to eat our food, remove and present in 15 mins. If your dog refuses to eat dont feed for the rest of the day. Repeat process until your dog eats. (Many dogs don't recognise raw food as they may not be imprinted on it. Our food is premium quality and there is no reason a dog should refuse this quality level of food.
- Monitor your dog at all times during the transition period.
- Diarrhea may occur due to food change as long as you dog is hydrated it should resolve itself. If you are concerned consult a natural vet practicioner.
